Actor Kevin Spacey, who is facing sexual harassment allegations, has reportedly been replaced by Christopher Plummer in Ridley Scott's upcoming film 'All the Money in the World.'

The 58-year-old actor recently faced allegations of sexual assault from Heather Unrah, who in a press conference claimed Spacey grabbed her 18-year-old son's genitals inside a bar on Nantucket Island.

Christopher Plummer will take over Spacey's role in the film, which despite the last-minute change, is still set for release on December 22, reports CNN.

The decision, which has been fully supported by Sony Pictures, came a day after the studio and Tristar pulled the film from the AFI Festival's prestigious closing spot.

In a statement confirming the development, Tristar said that there were over 800 other actors, writers, artists, craftspeople and crew who worked tirelessly and ethically on this film, some for years, including one of cinema's master directors, adding, "It would be a gross injustice to punish all of them for the wrongdoings of one supporting actor in the film."

After the allegations were levelled against Kevin Spacey, Netflix also cut ties with the actor.
