Christopher Walken has signed a deal to play Captain Hook in NBC's upcoming live Peter Pan Live musical.
The 71-year-old Oscar-winning star, who had begun his career with musicals, said that he had always wanted to be a part of this musical as a child and was glad to have put on his dance shoes for the project, People magazine reported.
The project, which would be NBC's second televised musical after 'The Sound of Music Live' will use the script for the Jerome Robbins' original Broadway musical based on the classic book by J.M. Barrie, and is anticipated to air in December 2014.
