Winston Churchill's half-smoked cigar is expected to fetch 3,000 pounds at an auction.

The La Aroma de Cuba cigar, which is about three-and-a-half inches long, was smoked during a Cold War conference with world leaders and a soldier guarding the meeting room collected the still-smoking cigar when he was sent in to tidy up afterwards, the Daily Express reported.

The cigar is being sold with a letter of provenance from the soldier who was serving with 1st Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers in Jamaica when he was sent to Hamilton, Bermuda, in 1953 to guard some of the world's most important men of the time.

The cigar was acquired by an anonymous private collector about 10 years ago and they have now made it available for sale at auction by PFC Auctions in Bristol.
