The Central Information Commission (CIC) has directed authorities at Delhi's Tihar Jail to disclose information regarding alleged irregularities in its functioning.

The nation's largest prison is under the scanner over reports of irregularities in its diet chart and food provisions, and is now being directed to make these public.

Reports quoted Information Commissioner Sridhar Acharyulu as ordering the Tihar authorities to reply to the queries raised through the Right to Information (RTI) that was filed by an inmate.
