India's largest e-filing platform ClearTax on Tuesday announced appointment of Sivaram Kowta to head the company's growing B2B vertical.

Hired as senior vice president, Sivaram comes with over 15 years of experience in management consulting and industry. As Vice President at Myntra, he oversaw the core men's apparel business, which grew 75 percent YoY and is near EBITDA breakeven in the two years of his tenure.

A post-graduate from IIM Calcutta and a graduate from BITS Ranchi in Computer Science by education, Sivaram has been an integral part of global organizations such as AT Kearney and Wipro. As a senior principal in A.T. Kearney's consumer goods practice, he was pivotal in deepening their practice in transformation strategy and breakthrough cost reduction in the fiber to fashion value chain.

At ClearTax, Sivaram will be responsible for building the B2B business in compliance and other areas. He will be based out of Bangalore.

"ClearTax is going through an exciting phase and the right growth track. Our simplified solutions help both B2B and B2C customers with their tax, legal and business compliance. We are confident that Sivaram's leadership and vision in developing B2B vertical will support us on our path," said CEO and founder of ClearTax, Archit Gupta.

In the previous financial year, ClearTax has seen significant growth - the company has made long strides in making tax-filing simpler and quicker with minimal paperwork along with launching new products and services like ClearTax Sign, ClearTax Save, GST Software and Aadhaar-based KYC Software among others.

ClearTax is striving towards a bigger, diverse and a refined team that can relate to the company's principles, technology and goals while contributing actively to the next stage of expansion and viability.

The prospects are high, and this appointment justifies it. Such talent pool reinforces the position of ClearTax at the forefront of e-tax service providers.
