Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday taunted Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, saying the latter is the biggest problem for the grand old party at this point of time.
Responding to a poser on Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh's assertion that the grand old party needs restructuring post the dismal show in the recent assembly polls, Prasad said, "The biggest problem for the Congress is Rahul Gandhi. Even we would want that the Congress moves ahead as an opposition. It is not the BJP's responsibility to guide the Congress forward as they will have to do it themselves."
Speaking at an event earlier on Friday, Digvijaya called for a new Congress with a new charter, a new roadmap and a new style of campaigning. He added it's time the Congress vice-president acted decisively.
Meanwhile, Prasad also expressed confidence that the BJP in tune with its splendid performance in the recent assembly polls would form the government in Gujarat yet again after the elections next year.
The Union Minister's assertion came as the BJP riding high on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's growing popularity won the elections in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The BJP also managed to form the government in Goa and Manipur despite finishing second in the contest.
Ever since then, several political leaders have been pointing fingers at the Congress leadership, especially Rahul Gandhi.
