Amanda Knox's former boyfriend has claimed that the police tried to frame her for the murder of Meredith Kercher.
Raffaele Sollecito has claimed that he was approached by prison guards, who were trying to make a deal with him, Radar Online reported.
Sollecito told the Mirror that the cops warned him to maintain his distance from Knox.
He revealed that he was told to allow the prosecution to catch his former girlfriend and would be released immediately if he did so.
Sollecito said that he couldn't go through with the deal as he was really fond of Knox, despite knowing her for such a short time.
The pair was convicted of the 2007 murder and was given lengthy prison sentences before being released as the convictions were overturned.
