Simon Cowell's pregnant gal-pal, Lauren Silverman's lawyer has released a statement accusing people supporting her husband Andrew Silverman for taking 'cheap shots' and attempting to 'sabotage' the ongoing situation.
Some sources branded the 37-year-old socialite as a 'total nightmare' to which her lawyer responded saying that people who are tainting Lauren to support Andrew are hampering the ongoing efforts made by them to settle this matter, the Mirror reported.
The lawyer added that they are committed to resolve the matter privately and amicably.
Another source revealed that that though Cowell and Andrew have their differences, they are trying to deal with the situation like adults and have decided to keep quiet in the hope that the mass hysteria will soon subside.
The 53-year-old music mogul is concerned that the affair and pregnancy saga could jeopardise his lucrative endorsement deals in the US, most notably a contract with Pepsi reportedly worth 35million pounds.
The X-Factor judge is expecting a baby with Lauren, who is reportedly 10-weeks pregnant. Andrew filed for divorce in New York, implicating Cowell and citing 'adultery' as the reason for the split.
