Cricket should be played in grounds, not courts, says former Pak captain

Former Pakistan Test captain Wasim Bari has said that cricket should be played on the grounds and not in the courts.

According to Bari, litigation against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had sent a negative image of Pakistan cricket across the world, the Daily Times reports.

Bari further said that the litigation has further damaged Pakistan cricket and the PCB's credibility at a time when it is going through a difficult phase owing to security concerns due to which no foreign team is willing to set foot in this country.

Stating that cricket should be played on the grounds and not in the courts, Bari said that the PCB litigation is the handiwork of disgruntled former regional presidents who have completed their two tenures as regional presidents and are unhappy at being refused to contest for a third term under the new constitution.

Bari also said that the PCB made the interim committee so that the elections could be held.
