American filmmaker Darren Aronofsky claimed had he got the opportunity he would have made a grittier Batman movie series.
Christopher Nolan's 'Dark Knight' trilogy which includes 'Batman Begins', 'The Dark Knight', and 'The Dark Knight Rises' are considered to be one of the grittiest comic book adaptations movie lovers around the world have ever seen.
According to contactmusic.com Aronofsky's Batman project was scrapped since Nolan already had a creative control over it. But the 'Noah' director did open up about his general direction of the famed comic book character.
"I think Nolan's version is exactly what the studio wanted. I think I was much more of a gritty feel is what we were going for," contactmusic.com quoted Aronofksy as saying.
A younger version of the character can be expected soon in Matt Reeve's upcoming 'The Batman', further reported contactmusic.com.
