David De Gea's agent Jorge Mendes has admitted that the Spanish goalkeeper is happy and will stay at Manchester United, quashing rumours surrounding the goalkeeper's switch to Real Madrid.
Mendes said that De Gea had one year left on his contract and he would stay in Manchester, adding that the player was happy there at the moment, the Mirror reported.
De Gea has reportedly been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months, with only 17 months left of his contract.
Heaping praise on De Gea, Victor Valdes, who recently moved to Old Trafford, said that he was the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment, adding that his performance every day and in every game showed everybody that his level was very high, the report added.
