Former England all-rounder David Lloyd has praised Pakistani batsman Younis Khan, dubbing him a 'modern world great' for his remarkable and invaluable contribution to cricket.
Younis has been earning praise from the cricket fraternity after his unbeaten 171 run knock in the fourth innings of the final match against Sri Lanka, which helped his side to register a historic win by chasing down a target of 377 at Pallekele.
Lloyd said that the whole cricket fraternity often talk about lots of world class players like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, AB de Villiers, Joe Root, Michael Clarke, saying that most have forgetten about players like Jaqcues Kallis and Younis, who have also contributed a lot to world cricket, PakPassion reported.
Younis Khan recently became the fifth Pakistani cricketer to play 100 Tests and was in prime form in the recently concluded Test series against Sri Lanka, which Pakistan won 2-1.
