Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has called on Pakistan players to draw inspiration from Indian swashbuckling batsman Virat Kohli if they want to put up consistent performance for their side.

Kohli has played consistently well for India since his debut in 2008 and has also smashed numerous match-winning knocks for his country.

He has also been considered as one of the fittest athletes around and has also drawn comparisons with the likes of world number one Novak Djokovic as far as fitness is concerned.

Pointing out the fitness of Kohli, Jones insisted that Pakistan batsmen like Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq should try to reach the level of the Indian Test skipper.

The Islamabad United coach further suggested that Pakistan should improvise their fielding aspects as well as their attitude in every aspect of the game in order to return back on track, the Dawn reported.

Reflecting on the country's upcoming series against England, Jones observed that the Pakistan bowlers will pose a great challenge before the host nation.

However, the 55-year-old believes that the Pakistan would heavily rely on experienced batsmen like Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan, adding that the series could turn out to be interesting if one of these veterans contribute well.

Pakistan will tour England for a four-match Test series and a five-match ODI series, starting from July 14 at Lord's.
