Debbie Reynolds has admitted that Elizabeth Taylor was her friend until she stole her husband Eddie Fisher.

The 82-year-old actress, who will be honored Sunday with a life achievement award by the Screen Actors Guild told People Magazine she and Taylor were friends for years but they had a lapse of time when she took Fisher to live with her because she liked him, too and Taylor liked him well enough to take him without an invitation.

The American actress eventually forgave Taylor and starred opposite her in the 2001 TV movie 'The Old Broads' penned by her daughter.
