Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday expressed confidence that his party's first Budget would meet the expectations of the common people.
"Manish presents his first budget today. Aam Admi's budget. I am sure he will meet aam admi's expectations. My best wishes," Kejriwal said on twitter.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had earlier said the Aam Aadmi Party's Budget will reflect the hopes, dreams and desire for change of the people of Delhi.
The Delhi Assembly had passed three bills on the first day of the Budget Session, including the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement (Amendment) Bill and the Delhi Legislative Assembly Members (Prevention of Disqualification) (Amendment) Bill.
It also passed a Bill according university status to Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT).
The Budget Session, which began on Tuesday, will have six sittings and conclude on June 30.
