Expressing its displeasure with the Centre's stand on security for women, the Delhi High Court said that it is the latter's responsibility to ensure safety of the people of Delhi.

Taking suo moto notice of the response of the Centre saying that it could ensure the safety of all because of a shortage of security personnel, the high court said it would hear the case next on April 9.
