The Delhi High Court on Wednesday will hear a plea seeking cancellation of interim bail granted to Jawaharlal Nehru University students' union president Kanhaiya Kumar.
A petition was filed in the Delhi High Court on March 15 seeking cancellation of his interim bail, saying that Kanhaiya had violated bail conditions and made some objectionable remarks against the armed forces.
Kanhaiya, who was earlier arrested on charges of sedition, was released from Tihar Jail on an interim bail of six months.
A case was later registered against him in the Kanpur civil court for giving objectionable statements against Army personnel.
Speaking at a student's gathering on International Women's Day, Kanhaiya alleged that the Indian Army personnel have committed atrocities against women in Jammu and Kashmir.
Kanhaiya was arrested earlier on February 12 in connection with an event organised in the JNU campus on February 9 during which anti-India slogans were allegedly raised.
