Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday cast his vote at the BK Dutt Colony in the city, in the ongoing assembly elections in the national capital.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal had appealed to the residents of Delhi to come out and vote.

"Everyone should go to cast their vote, after taking a bath and remembering god. You will definitely win," Kejriwal tweeted.

However, CPI (M) Chief Prakash Karat, who is in Bihar, will not be able to vote in the elections.

Earlier in the day, President Pranab Mukherjee had cast his vote from the President's Estate.

Other leaders, including the chief ministerial candidates for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress Kiran Bedi and Ajay Maken also cast their vote, as well as Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson Raghav Chadha and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vijay Goel.

Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh, Vice President Hamid Ansari and Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Chandra Bhushan Kumar have also cast their votes.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Harsh Vardhan and BJP leaders Vijay Goel, Ram Madhav and Satish Upadhyay cast their respective votes.

A total of 673 candidates are in the fray.

The results will be declared on February 10.
