The Pravasi Odiya Yuva forum on Friday held a protest at Odisha Bhawan against Biju Janata Dal (BJD) demanding BMC Mayor's, Anant Narayan Jena interrogation for his alleged involvement in connection with the mysterious death of Rishi, an engineering student, and an immoral act shown in a video clipping circulated in social media.

"Why is BMC Mayor Anant Narayan Jena, who is involved in such issues, given so much political protection? Why hasn't he yet been terminated from the post? This is our main issue. The second issue is that after serving for 17 years, there is no employment created by the BJD government. Although they claimed that they would improve the condition of Odisha, but they did not. Chief Minister Navin Patnaik has to answer the questions today in the Pradesh Odisha Yuva meet," said one of the protestors.

Early in the last year, an engineering student, Rishi, was found dead near his college in Bhubaneswar.

His death has links with the controversial video clip, which National Students' Union of India (NSUI) state unit president Itish Pradhan released, alleging Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena featured in the video.
