Delhi's 3-year-old kids celebrate Mother's Day in unique way

In an exemplary event, 3-year-old kids at Delhi's leading play school Intelligentsia, pledged to take care of their mothers by caring for them, listening to them and helping them. This was a part of Mother's Day celebration at the campus of Intelligentsia, a highly researched play school based out of Delhi.

Intelligentsia is the brainchild of Dr Gaurav Nigam, a well-known educationist, pediatrician, and author. Intelligentsia is all about scientific research and delivering early education through STEM approach.

Dr Gaurav Nigam has been advocating for implementing STEM education approach in education in the country particularly for early stage of education.

The day-long Mother's Day celebration was attended by many well-known personalities and scholars from Delhi-NCR and parents. Dr Gaurav Nigam, Founder of Intelligentsia was also present during the occasion and took part in the activities with the kids.

3-year-old kids at the school performed and also took a pledge to take care of their mothers. They are taught to apply these pledges in practical at their homes with family members. Kids were given a choice to choose favourite coloured lock. After that, using keys they locked the pledge on a big metallic alphabet 'M' which symbolizes motherhood.

"We are happy to create a platform for kids to create, innovate and engage with peers at an early age. These early age activities with peers at playschool can help in shaping their overall personality in future", said Dr Gaurav Nigam, Founder of Intelligentsia.

"In a world where children are forgetting family values, such an initiative is a must", added Dr Nigam.

Dr Gaurav Nigam along with his highly qualified team has been researching on the works of great educationists from around the world and derived certain conclusions, and those have been applied at Intelligentsia. The curriculum is based on recommendations from more than 1000 different research materials pertaining to kids' education. The team at Intelligentsia believes that efforts should start at an early stage to make a child's development in a better way.
