The Delhi unit of the Congress Party today announced that it would be observing February 14 (Sunday) as 'Chhalawa Divas' to expose the failures of the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP capital city government.
Senior party leaders P.C. Chacko, In-charge Delhi Affairs, Ajay Maken, President, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee and other Office-bearers addressed the media.
Chacko said, "As you all know, tomorrow (Sunday) is the first anniversary of the Kejriwal Government. The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee is observing that day as 'Chhalawa Divas' and details will be given by our DPCC President Shri Ajay Maken and would request him to explain the programme. He also informed that a booklet in the form of report card on the performance of Delhi Government will be released. Besides, a short film was also shown to the media highlighting the failures of Delhi Government.
Chacko, Maken, Arvinder Singh Lovely, former ministers Yoganand Shastri, Mangat Ram Singhal, Narendra Nath, Dr. A.K. Walia, Dr. Kiran Walia, Haroon Yusuf along with Ms. Sharmishtha Mukherjee, Chief Spokesperson of DPCC and others unveiled the booklet and a copy of the same was distributed to the media.
Maken highlighted the failures, double speak and going back on all the promises made by Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party to the people of Delhi, thereby deceiving the citizens of Delhi.
The report card predictably gave '0' marks out of 100 to the one year of governance of the Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal.
Then key sections of the report card includes a section on the U-turn on principles, failure of governance, development, price rise, anti-women AAP Government, let down of the poor and marginalised sections, non-understanding of procedures and tall claims and over-hype by the Aam Aadmi Party.
