In a joint operation, troops of Delta Forces and police unearthed a terrorist hideout and recovered weapons, ammunition and war like stores from a densely forested area of Nagini Got in the Bonjwa region of Kishtwar District of Jammu.
According to reports, the joint operation was launched based on local information and spanned two days in extreme weather conditions.
The arms and ammunition recovered included two assault rifles (including AK-47 and AK-56) with four magazines, two pistols along with two magazines, three 12 bore rifles, 350 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, 26 rounds of pistol ammunition, five hand grenades, seven Under Barrel Grenade Launcher Grenades and one Radio set apart from one ammunition pouch, two blankets and some cooking utensils.
The hideout is believed to have been occupied by alleged slain Hijbul Mujahideen terrorist Mushtaq Ahmed Butt Mussa.
The General Officer Commanding of the Delta Force complimented his the troops for their successful operation.
