Extremely pained by the recent terror attack, the locals in Bangladesh today called for uprooting those forces which mould innocent children to take the path of terrorism in the name of religion and make them commit such heinous act.
"The terrorist groups have moulded these kids in the name of religion. Those groups should be found out and uprooted. I feel the youth, who are being identified as the terrorists are basically victims of a larger plot," a local told ANI.
Another local on his part stated that the incident is highly condemnable.
"We will find out the source behind this incident. We will be strict on our stand and will uproot them, who are misguiding the youth," he added.
The police identified five of the attackers of the Holey Artisan Bakery as Akash, Bikash, Don, Badhon and Ripon, but did not provide any further details. All five were killed by the joint forces.
The men, all in their late teens or early 20s, belonged to well-to-do families and many received private education from top English-medium schools as well as studied abroad.
Two of the five militants killed used to follow three controversial Islamists -- Anjem Choudary, Shami Witness and Zakir Nayek, the Daily Star reported.
From their pictures posted by the IS media and re-circulated by the SITE Intelligence Group, it can be assumed that these young men received arms training to carry out the mission. Their attire with IS logo in their backdrop, the automatic rifles held in their hands reveal that they underwent an organised training.
