Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan visited and offered prayers at Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu on Friday.
Pradhan arrived in Nepal's capital on Friday morning for a two-day visit at the invitation of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister, Matrika Yadav.
During the first day of his visit, the minister met with Acting Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel and hold a meeting on the issue of progress in the extension of petroleum pipelines between the two countries.
In the meeting, that took place at the Defence Ministry, Singha Durbar, Pradhan informed the acting Prime Minister that India was ready to expedite works relating the pipeline extension from Motihari of India to Amlekhgunj of Nepal via Raxaul border, adding that works would be started after sorting out some technical issue.
He also met with Nepal Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa.
