Police have reportedly discovered 5 frozen bodies of dead babies at a house, after their mother is believed to have "secretly" given them birth.
Initially, the officers only found a newborn in a freezer bag at the house in Louchats, France, however, as they searched further, they recovered 4 more dead bodies from a large freezer, the Daily Express reported.
It was the babies' 40-year-old father, who first found his newborn's corpse and claimed to be "absolutely devastated and shaking uncontrollably", as he told the officers that he had no idea whether his wife had been pregnant.
The father has been taken in for questioning after the horrifying discovery.
Meanwhile, the babies' mother, who has been hospitalized, and is now going through "gynecological and psychiatric examinations."
The couple is also believed to be parents to 2 teenage daughters aged 13 and 15.
