Addressing the second Indo-Africa ICT Expo and Forum being held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya, SoftAge Information Technology Ltd. Kick started its participation in the event by highlighting the benefits of digitization transformation in developing countries.
The expo, organized by TEPC and NASSCOM from September 1-3, 2016, enables technology convergence among Indian and African ICT companies.
SoftAge, India's leading document management firm was shortlisted to share the best industry practices on digitization strategies that can be adopted by government and enterprises to drive operational excellence, greater competitive differentiation and a more connected experience.
"With Africa's predominantly young and tech - savvy population, the awareness of the so-called Third Platform technologies - Big data and analytics, cloud, social media and IoT - is high. Its adoption, however, is uneven, given the diverse nature of the market," said 'Digital Dreams of Developing Nation', Harsh Tikku, Global Head-Business Development and Acquisition at SoftAge.
Highlighting the need and benefits of streamlined document management systems, Tikku further added, "Till now 92 percent of information is kept in manila folders, file folders designed to contain documents, leading to misplaced documents and unproductive time spent handling paper and data entry. Successful adoption of cloud based technology will increase efficiency and productivity and help transform business operations in Africa."
The India-based multi-national is also showcasing it's innovative Cloud-based DMS solution, CloudDocu, providing organizations a secure and yet very cost effective access to encrypted documents. Using the CloudDocu application, documents can be uploaded to the cloud and can be accessed from all devices, with proper authorization. The application is suitable for document management at small and medium level enterprises.
