Luis Figo has joined the list of people who have expressed their disappointment over Sepp Blatter's re-election as FIFA president for a fifth consecutive time, saying he has no integrity.

Figo, who withdrew his candidacy last week, was angry after Blatter defeated his lone rival Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan despite not claiming a majority during the process of the election's first ballot in Zurich.

The former Portugal International said that it was another dark day for football, adding that it was not only FIFA who had lost, but above everything, football had lost, and all those who loved the sport, have lost, news.com.au has reported.

The Portugal great said it was not the game that was guilty, but the governing body's leaders who regulate it, as they have lost both respect and integrity.

Figo also felt that it was an insult on the part of Blatter to assert that he could not be held responsible for all those involved with FIFA.

He suggested that Blatter had a very cynical reaction when he said he could not control everyone.
