The Northern Railways constructed an old and dismantled railway bridge at the Bundki Station on the Nazibabad-Moradabad route in seven hours.
"The old bridge between Nazibabad-Moradabad stations was dismantled, and the debris were removed. We installed the RCC box and tracks were linked. Trains started plying immediately. It was done within seven hours," the general manager of the Northern Railways, V Choubey, told ANI.
The bridge was said to be more than 100 years old.
V Choubey added if the construction was done with the normal method, it would have taken a minimum of three months.
