Rapper DJ Khaled asked for Nicki Minaj's hand in marriage with a half a million dollar ring in a video filmed by MTV News cameras on July 25.

In the clip, the US superstar can be seen talking to MTV when he suddenly pulls out a huge diamond ring and proposes to the singer, claiming that he loves her and wants her to be his, the Mirror reported.

Khaled asserted in the video that he would understand if Minaj needs time to think about the offer.

He continued saying he wanted to let her know how serious he is about marriage.

According to MTV sources, he then goes on to unveil a 10 karat radiant cut diamond ring, which is worth 500,000 dollars, from Rafaello 'n' Co.

The duo is not dating, but Minaj starred in Khaled's biggest song 'All I Do Is Win'.
