Djokovic, Federer sail into third round of French Open

World No.2 Novak Djokovic and Swiss veteran Roger Federer have sailed into the third round of the French Open on Wednesday with straight set second-round wins.
The Serb, who needs to win the French Open to complete a career Grand Slam, defeated Frenchman Jeremy Chardy 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 in just over 90 minutes in his ninth win in as many meetings against the world number 42.
According to the BBC, Federer beat Argentine qualifier Diego Sebastian Schwartzman 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to set up a meeting with Russian 31st seed Dmitry Tursunov in the next round for a place in the last 16.
Djokovic next faces 25th seed Marin Cilic of Croatia, who beat Germany's Tobias Kamke 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-0.
Federer has not reached a Grand Slam final since winning his 17th major title at Wimbledon in 2012, the report added.
