Dozens hurt in Swiss train collision

At least 35 people have been injured in a head-on collision between two regional trains in western Switzerland.

According to the BBC, the trains crashed in Granges-pres-Marnand area of Vaud canton, about 50km south-west of the capital.

Five seriously injured passengers were air-lifted to a nearby hospital, the report added.

Rescuers have recovered the body of a driver of one of the trains, who died in the incident.

One of the trains was bound for Lausanne, while the other was travelling north from the same city.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash.
