The newly released nominations by the Billboard's annual American Music Awards have reported Drake taking a leap by setting a record with 13 nominations at the American Music Awards.
The "Hotline Bling" rapper has now beaten Michael Jackson's 32-year standing record of 11 nominations set in 1984.
The awards which Drake received are Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album for inescapable views.
The artist will go up against Adele, Beyonce, Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots, Underwood and The Weeknd for Artist of the Year category.
