The Election Commission (EC) will hold meetings with political leaders and senior state government officials in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday to take stock of preparations for assembly elections in the state.
Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi and Election Commissioners A. K. Jyoti and Om Prakash Rawat arrived in the state capital yesterday.
They are scheduled to meet Kerala Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson, Director General of Police T.P. Senkumar, district collectors and other officials today.
Assembly polls are scheduled to be held in the state in two months time as the term of the present assembly ends in mid-May.
