National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden will speak to an audience in Park City through a video from his apartment in Russia, where he is living in asylum.
According to The Washington Times, Snowden will speak in real time in a closed circuit conversation.
Snowden has apparently leaked classified documents to expose government surveillance by the National Security Agency.
He will participate in discussions on cybersecurity at the Eccles Center on December 5.
Park City Institute director Teri Orr will not reveal how much Snowden will be paid but he said that his appearance is "not the priciest" of the Institute's events.
Tickets for the event will go on sale to the members of the institute this week.
