Ekta Bisht grabbed a three-wicket haul to help the Indian women's cricket team crush Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the final T20 to clinch the three-match series 3-0 here at JSCA International Stadium Complex on Friday.

Opting to bat first, Sri Lanka had a stuttering start as opener Oshadi Ranasinghe was dismissed for a duck before opener Chamari Atapattu contributed significant 22 in her side's innings.

The tourists struggled to face India's attack and were restricted to mere 89-run target within their allotted 20 overs.

Eshani Lokusuryage was the highest scorer for the tourists as she made 25 off just 22 balls.

For India, Bisht finished with brilliant figures of three for 17 runs while Anuja Patil also bagged two wickets.

Deepti Sharma and Rajeshwari Gayakwad also chipped in with a wicket each.

In reply, India chased down the score with 37 balls to spare, thanks to openers Smriti Mandhana (unbeaten at 43) and Vellaswamy Vanitha (34).

The duo provided an initial thrust to their side by sharing a 64-run partnership for opening wicket.

Veda Krishnamurthy also gave a substantial support by scoring an unbeaten 13.

Indian Women had already clinched the series following their five-wicket win in the second T20 against Sri Lanka.
