Best-selling author JK Rowling's latest novel 'The Casual Vacancy' has topped the survey of books that readers abandon before reaching the end.
While the 'Harry Potter' author's new work was first, EL James' famous erotic book 'Fifty Shades of Grey' stood second on the list, the Daily Express reported.
According to the findings of the six years of research, which was carried out by Goodreads website, it looks like not everyone were happy with the ladies' work.
Referring to Christian Grey and his exploits, a user said, "I am embarrassed for all of us".
'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo', 'The Wicked Years' and 'Eat, Pray, Love', completed the top five on the list as people revealed the books that they could not be bothered to finish.
