With the campaigning phase over in Puducherry, the Election Commission is making all arrangements for the smooth conduct of polls in the Union Territory.
Authorities could distribute over 93 per cent of voter's slips and those who could not collect their slips are asked to bring any other photo identity card permitted by the Commission.
According to reports, Election authorities yesterday sealed all liquor outlets and their godowns to enforce dry days in the Union Territory.
Briefing the Media District Electoral Officer P Jawahar said that the Election Department is not taking any chances.
Meanwhile, NSS volunteers who are to assist differently abled voters are assigned to polling stations.
With Election Commission's extra efforts this time polling percentage is expected to improve further.
