Elephant rescued from abandoned well in Odisha

An elephant was rescued from an abandoned well in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district.

According to the reports, the elephant accidentally fell into the well which was used for agricultural purpose.

Local residents noticed the distressed mammal and alerted the forest officials. Following which two JCB machines were pressed into action and a pathway was dug to help the elephant climb up the well.
