Prince Harry has expressed that he wants to marry someone he loves, but who can also put up with his duties as an army officer as well as a royal.
The 30-year-old prince, who's been a captain with the Blues and Royals since 2011, wants to be promoted to major, a senior role which is mostly held by married family men, and has told his pals that he might not be able to get that rank as a bachelor, the Daily Star reported.
A colleague of the royal said that the prince, who had been in long relationships with Chelsy Davy, 29, and Cressida Bonas, 25, wants an "Army wife," who can put up with the pressure of being wed to a famous man, as well as being an Army wife.
The combination is a hard one, and the role of officer's wife becomes critical to regimental life, as in the Afghan War it was often the commanding officer's wife who had to break the news of army men's death to their spouses.
