'Pitch Perfect 2's' director Elizabeth Banks is in talks with Universal to direct their upcoming Victoria Aveyard young adult novel's adaptation 'Red Queen'.
The 41-year-old American actress and her Brownstone Productions partner Max Handelman might come aboard to produce the flick with Benderspink, which has developed a script with 'Breaking Bad' writer Gennifer Hutchison, Deadline.com has reported.
The story is all about a 17-year-old common girl, who lives in a world with a caste system that is based on blood, discovers she has an ability of her own that draws her into the dangerous intrigue of the king's palace.
