The Secretary to the President, Omita Paul, on Wednesday, launched a digital literacy programme titled 'Shakti DLP' for women and girls in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, Paul said several initiatives have been taken in the President's Secretariat, especially for women, to make them realize their dreams by empowering them.
She said that the initiative, titled 'Shakti Digital Literacy Programme' and 'Helping Women Get Online', launched today in collaboration with Google, will help women residing in the premises of the President's Estate to better their lives.
"This initiative of helping women get online is aimed at empowering women through access to information with a focus on knowledge and awareness. It is an endeavour to equip women to discharge their daily functions with improved efficiency," she said.
