English rugby team Salford City owner Marwan Koukash has confirmed his new signing of England half-back Rangi Chase by entering a horse of the same name in a competition.
According to metro.co.uk, Koukash and his new players will most likely be whisked away down the M62 to the Newton-le-Willows racecourse to watch the namesake horse run.
Koukash is also to announce the club's name change to 'Salford Red Devils' in a bid to re-connect with their sporting neighbours, Manchester United, the report said.
The former Palestinian refugee bought the struggling side earlier in the year but is hoping they'll be genuine Super League title contenders next season, the report added.
Salford was previously addressed as the Red Devils but Manchester United quickly adopted the name, the report further said.
