English village cricket team bowled out for 11 runs in less than nine overs!

An English village cricket team has reportedly made one of the worst scores in one of the shortest matches of cricket's history after they were bowled out after only eleven runs.

According to Metro.co.uk, Wiltshire side Highworth CC, which was already at the bottom of their league, fielded just eight players for the match against rivals Goatacre, in which they batted first and scored a meagre 11 runs before being bowled out in less than nine overs.

However, the report said that Goatacre took just eight balls and one wicket to knock off the target of 12 and win the game - all over in under an hour

According to the report, the shortest Test match on record was England against West Indies in Antigua in 2009, as it had to be abandoned after just ten balls of England's innings because the bowlers failed to get solid footholds in an overly sandy outfield.

In 1810, the Bs, which occasionally played first-class cricket in the first half of the 19th century in matches against All-England and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), were all out for six against an England side at Lord's, the report added.
