Environment Secretary Ashok Lavasa will address a conference on "Strategies for Sustainable Development
The event is a joint initiative of FICCI and ICRIER.
Naina Lal Kidwai, Past President, FICCI and Global Commissioner of the New Climate Economy and Member of UNEP Inquiry International Advisory Council; Mr. Manish Bapna, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, World Resources Institute; Dr. Isher Judge Ahluwalia, Chairperson, ICRIER will also be addressing the session.
A report titled 'India: Pathways to Sustaining Rapid Development in a New Climate Economy' will also be released during the conference.
The conference will examine opportunities for growth in a sustainability paradigm with specific deliberations on sustainable financing, sustainable agriculture and sustainable urbanization. The context of discussions will be drawn from global initiatives with India-specific processes.
