ESPNcricinfo, the world's leading digital cricket brand, has announced the launch of new and improved versions of its iOS and Android mobile applications.

The app is available from Friday in the Apple App Store and will be available on Google Play soon. Delivering the most comprehensive coverage of cricket from around the world, the app will be available to cricket lovers just in time for the ICC Champions Trophy, which is expected to feature in the ODI format for the last time this year.

The apps offer fans the depth and quality of cricket coverage and incisive reportage that ESPNcricinfo is known and respected for. The new features in the mobile app socialize the experience, deepen engagement with fans and personalize the interface for each individual user.

"The significant upgrade in quality of user experience on mobile is on the back of ESPNcricinfo enjoying record growth in mobile traffic, in India and Worldwide. Today's fans seek much more in terms of coverage, interactivity and participation and our endeavour is to provide them the opportunity to connect, analyse and engage in real time," said Ramesh Kumar, Head of ESPNcricinfo and ESPN Digital Media, India.

The ESPNcricinfo app will cater to all types of cricket fans - from the most casual fans who just wants the latest scores and top news, to the most passionate who seek to analyze and dissect the stats and news to the last detail, as well as the highly social fans who wants to share their experience and intelligence with friends and colleagues and be a part of the national and global conversation about the game.

"With multi-screen usage on the rise, serious fans are looking for qualitative consumption that extends beyond merely following the sport on-the-go. The ESPNcricinfo app delivers the very best content as a foundation, delivers a fast, simple and sleek interface, and then goes that extra mile - enhancing the multi-screen experience on second screen devices." said Gaurav Thakur, Associate Director, Mobile Product and Business Development, ESPNcricinfo and ESPN Digital Media, India.

In addition to the ESPNcricinfo app on iOS and Android, an ESPNcricinfo app is available on iPad and Windows 8 multi-screen app (Windows 8-powered laptops and tablets).
