Eva Longoria is set to produce a documentary about the importance of the Latino vote in the US.
The Golden Globe Award nominee who has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the project, currently titled El Voto Hispano, told E! Online that they wanted to do the Kickstarter campaign in the same vein of a democratic process since they were trying to show that Latinos matter, and that they count as well.
The 39-year-old actress said that Latinos had made such a difference in getting Obama elected in 2012 yet they still had one of the lowest turnouts among all ethnicities and they still had the lowest turnout in midterm elections.
Whilst speaking on her new documentary, Longoria asserted that she feels that documentaries could really humanize an issue through a narrative, through storytelling where it helped people to easily digest the facts and information.
