Former footballer and BBC pundit Robbie Savage has revealed that like many players, he had faked injuries and attacked teammates to get a transfer, and also planted false stories in newspapers.
According to The Daily Star, the former player disclosed that one sure way of losing the manager's backing was by not giving 100 percent in a match and although he had done it only once, he was not proud of his actions.
Savage said that feigning injury was the most popular way of letting a club know you are not happy.
His confessions came as Premier League stars Wayne Rooney, 27, Luis Suarez, 26, and Gareth Bale, 24, were all said to be considering their futures, the report said.
A Football Supporters' Federation spokesman said that it's a strange world if a lack of effort gets one a pay rise or bonus.
