A former Uber driver has been sentenced to 12 years in jail for raping and kidnapping a woman in Boston.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said that Alejandro Done, 47, pleaded guilty to aggravated rape, kidnapping and assault, News.com.au reported.
Ryan encouraged people to take precautions when using any ride-sharing service.
On December 6 last year, Done drove his victim to a secluded place where he locked the car doors to prevent her from escaping and climbed into the back seat. There, he hit her, strangled her, covered her mouth so she could not scream and sexually assaulted her.
