According to a new report from the Pew Research Center, Facebook remains the most popular social networking site with a slight dip in the company's growth from 2013 in the United States.
According to TechCrunch, the reason for the slow growth could be attributed to Americans now using multiple social networking apps and sites like Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn, said the report.
However, there has been a demographic change in the membership of Facebook. More than half of the users are aged 65 or older on Facebook, said the study.
Instagram is highly popular among young adults as its user number rose by nine percent.
There has been growth on LinkedIn as well in terms of number of users while engagement on Pinterest and LinkedIn has not really grown.
