Former Delhi law minister Jitender Singh Tomar's lawyer on Tuesday withdrew the bail application after the AAP leader was sent to police custody remand for four days.

The withdrawal of the bail application has been accepted by the Saket sessions court.

Tomar is accused of possessing two fake degrees: a law degree and a BSC degree. An FIR was lodged against him under IPC Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B for criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery.

Last week, Tomar was arrested in connection with his fake law degree. He has so far maintained that his degree is not fake and accused the BJP-led government at the Centre of hatching a conspiracy into the entire episode.
